The amount of foreign exchange transactions on the exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded USD 30.3 million

Last week, the amount of currency transactions at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to over 30 million 357 thousand US dollars. A total of 27 transactions were registered, TDH reports.
For foreign currency, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Turkey, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased liquefied gas and aviation kerosene produced at the technological units of the Turkmennebit State Corporation.
Portland cement and licorice root extract were also sold for foreign currency; the buyer countries were Turkey and Kazakhstan.
Turkmen businessmen purchased construction materials, polypropylene and base oil from the Turkmennebit State Corporation, as well as fabric and cotton waste for the domestic market. The total amount of transactions amounted to over 53 million 817 thousand manats, the source notes.
