Eight trade agreements were concluded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week, TDH reports.

Businessmen from Turkey, Tajikistan and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas produced by the State Concern Türkmennebit for over 3.561 million US dollars.

On the domestic market, local entrepreneurs purchased products of the State Concern Türkmennebit (polypropylene), as well as cotton yarn and cotton production waste. The total value of domestic transactions amounted to over 7.091 million manats.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan summed up the results of trades for the past holiday week. As reported by TDH, a total of 9 transactions were concluded for a total of about 23 million 415 thousand US dollars.

The key buyers were companies from the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkey. The main demand was for energy sector products: liquefied gas and aviation kerosene produced by the Türkmennebit State Corporation. These goods were purchased by entrepreneurs from the UAE, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

The construction industry was also represented at the auction: businessmen from Kazakhstan and Afghanistan purchased batches of Portland cement. The textile industry of Turkmenistan attracted the attention of buyers from the UAE and Turkey, who purchased dyed terry cloth, cotton yarn and raw fabric.

Last week, the total amount of foreign exchange transactions at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to over 76 million 375 thousand US dollars.

For foreign currency, representatives of business circles of the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan purchased liquefied gas, aviation kerosene, motor gasoline, base oil, hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the technological units of the State Concern "Turkmennebit".

Businessmen from Turkey, Pakistan, the UAE, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan purchased ECO-93 motor gasoline and urea (SC "Turkmenhimiya"). Finished textile products, cotton yarn, and purified cotton waste were also sold for foreign currency.

Turkmen businessmen purchased polypropylene (SC Turkmennebit), plain-dyed and jacquard terry products, cotton yarn, and dry cocoons for the domestic market for a total of over 9 million 68 thousand manats.

Last week, the total amount of currency transactions at the auction of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to over 19 million 838 thousand US dollars.

For foreign currency, businessmen from Turkey, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased liquefied gas, diesel fuel and aviation kerosene (Turkmennebit State Concern).

Also, entrepreneurs from Turkey, Serbia, and Kazakhstan purchased light industry waste, regenerated fiber, licorice roots and rhizomes, and textile products.
